In the Midst is the passion project of Cici Dwe, who found refuge in New Zealand when she moved here with her family at the age of ten from war torn Myanmar. Cici has dedicated eight years of her life working with a local government organisation. She is a spokesperson for her ethnic community in New Zealand, and has maintained a reputation of caring for solving social issues in the community.

After years of managing events for local government organisations and communities, Cici has now put her fifteen years of event planning experience and confidence into her own event planning business, In the Midst.

In the Midst aims to bring people together to engage in social occasions. We accommodate all types of events and also host regular events for the community at our studio, ranging from Paint and Sip nights, Guitar Lessons, Children’s Craft Parties and Team Building Events. Here at In the Midst, we pride ourselves in Community Engagement, Team Work, Creativity and Fun!
